Job Vacancy: Structural Engineer

Loran Construction is seeking a talented and motivated Structural Engineer with at least two years of experience in residential projects, including kitchen extensions and loft conversions. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality work, and we're looking for someone who shares that passion.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce structural designs and calculations for residential projects (kitchen extensions, loft conversions).
  • Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications in line with British Standards and codes.

  • Conduct site visits for inspections, feasibility assessments, and to support project progress.
  • Participate in client meetings and assist in presenting structural solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in residential structural design.
  • Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., Tedds, Tekla, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
